some things to do in London and Nice areas, mainly with little kids in tow, as discovered by Jon Himoff
London: 01 Feb 2009: Well, it is snowing very hard in London at this moment. I can imagine the week will be off to slushy start in a few hours. Makes me want to plan a trip down to the South of France. Sure you can go skiing from Nice in a few hours, but my thoughts are more about the warm sun and dry air that in a few months should soon be baking the beaches dry.
I don’t have that many posts up yet about the South of France, but here are a few about art and winter activities near Nice. There are some photos to warm your thoughts here on our Flickr Group.
Mainly I have been writing about what to do with little kids here in London lately. I was kind of my new year’s resolution to try to get more organized about what we do on the weekends. I think if you can get better planning in place, well, maybe you get better value for the money you spend and also avoid crowded situations with UPICs (UPIC = useless parent in a coma). We have been off to a good start in 2009 and discovered a few new places and things to do which you can read about here. I also had a week when my wife traveled for business and I was 1 on 2 little kids. Despite my best effort to plan a lot of stuff to do, I realized that sometimes kids are happy enough to just stay around the house. Check my Survival Guide for Dads Alone here.
We are also pleased to advise that we have our first booking for our villa that we rent in Saint Jeannet, France this summer. The 25th of July to the 8th of August is booked. Other weekends are still available, so please let me know if you are interested. The villa takes 10 people, so it is a great and cost-effective way to have a memorable holiday this year. More information about the Villa Bougainvilles here. If you can send the link to anyone else you might think would enjoy the Villa that would be greatly appreciated. We will gladly send you a case of Saint Jeannet wine if your friends take a booking! Also ask about special discounts for May and September.
We will be adding more and more to the site over the next few months. If you want to write or add stories, ideas about what to do with little kids please drop me an email at info@villabougainvilles.com Please also leave comments on the blog!
Best Regards, Jon
